Chairman Rob Snyder Announces Donation of over
46,000 Diapers to Benefit Homeless Children
DALLAS--Stream Energy announced today that its
employee-sponsored diaper donation program broke a donation record for Captain
Hope’s Kids.

Kids, and we are so grateful for the support they are providing to our homeless
children.”
Captain Hope's Kids was founded in 1989. Its primary focus is to provide
basic necessities for homeless children and infants. In 2009, in
collaboration with 38 different agencies, Captain Hope’s Kids received and
distributed 513,743 critically needed items, touching the lives of approximately
32,000 homeless children.
“Thanks to the generosity of our employees, Stream Energy collected over
46,000 diapers,” said Stream Energy Chairman Rob Snyder. “This allows us to help over
6,000 homeless children through Captain Hope’s Kids, supplying four shelters
with diapers. With these shelters providing over 5,000 diapers a day, Stream Energy is able to participate in meeting a
significant need of our homeless community.”
“The increasing number of homeless families with babies creates a sharp rise
in the need for diapers and training pants. Because homeless parents are often
unable to afford these items, many infants suffer poor health and hygiene,” said
Jeanne Reyer, Executive Director for Captain Hope’s Kids. “Stream Energy has
proven itself to be a phenomenal friend of Captain Hope’s Kids, and we are so
grateful for the support they are providing to our homeless children.”
Last year Captain Hope’s Kids distributed more than 416,650 diapers and pairs
of training pants — approximately 8,100 every week.
During the holiday season of 2009, Stream Energy broke Captain Hope’s charity
record with 1,711 toys donated, helping over 800 children.
